Big American muscle has been Danh’s passion.
He had a ‘70 Chevelle with LT1 swap from '95 Camaro SS back in the days.
So even though the original rotary engine in is 1994 RX7 was running fine, his itch of swapping another American muscle kept him awake at nights.
Finally in 2014 he competed the LS1 swap, and he hasn’t stopped smiling ear-to-ear.
In term of size and displacement, going from 1.3 liter turbo rotary to 5.7 liter LS1 V8 (LS6 block with 242 heads and with LS6 intake) is like going from flaccid Asian penis, to three-pills Viagra-enhanced big black dick.
Coupled with T56 transmission, the power band is wide and generous, and the MPG skyrocketed from low teens to low 30s, which is icing on the cake.
The rumble and roar (JTR Long Tube Headers,
Carlin Industries Y-Pipe,
Tanabe Concept G Exhaust) of his car isn’t something you expect when you see an FD, but it is something nice to hear for sure.
I have a video of him doing a highway pull, comment below and I’ll tag you on my previous post.
Complete spec is on first comment below.
